GLTF Workshop: Starting the Conversation on Racism

What: Workshop: Starting the Conversation on Racism

Where: Zoom. Details provided through a follow-up Email

When: 5-6:30 PM,  Thursday, August 27, 2020. *additional times/dates may be offered

This 1.5 hr online workshop aims to provide a structured experiential workshop to build community and to start, but not conclude, dialogue on anti-black racism and what might be done within the San Francisco GLTF community following the national dialogue around Black Lives Matter demonstrations and the police shootings/killings of  Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and Tony McDade. The workshop will focus on community building through a range of empathy building, reflection, and brainstorming exercises.

To maximize the attention the facilitators can provide to each participant, there will be a limit of 20 participants. An additional workshop will be offered, and additional workshops will be considered, depending on community demand and facilitator availability.

The workshop will be facilitated by LGBTQIA2S+ community members and allies.

If you have any questions you can contact the workshop coordinators, Justin or Marcel, through messages to social@gltf.org.

Warm Regards,

Marcel and Justin
