15th Street Public Courts Project

15th Street Public Court Renovation Project: efforts are underway to create a national historic park at the two public tennis courts in San Francisco on 15th Street. These courts are ground zero of the gay & lesbian organized sports movement, providing a safe, comfortable and sometimes competitive environment for local tennis players since the late '70's and early '80's. Plans include a complete renovation of the courts, a series of historical plaques on the interior retaining walls, information kiosk, improved garden area, water fountain and restrooms, and more. If you are interested in getting involved, contact past GLTF President and current Director of the San Francisco Tennis Coalition Steven Brown at Sbfloral@aol.com or call Steven at 415-282-1114.
