2010 USGO - Schedule of Events
Welcome Party, Thursday, May 27, 6-9:00pm
The USGO Welcome Party takes place at
The Lookout SF,
3600 16th St at Market, in the Castro District, 6-9pm. The Welcome Party launches our fundraising efforts for the historic 15th Street Public Tennis Courts, just above the Castro District of San Francisco and where the Gay & Lesbian Tennis Federation all began 30 years ago. Plans are underway to renovate the courts after the USGO, and have the two tennis courts designated a historic site for their role in helping establish the organized gay & lesbian tennis movement. Come meet your competitors, enjoy some food and drinks, learn more about the 15th Street Court Project, and let us welcome you to San Francisco.

Tennis Block Party
social tennis event for players not competing in the tournament. Saturday, 9am-12noon, Palo Alto High School Tennis Courts. Open to the public and absolutely free! Instruction, interactive games, and fun for players of all ages and abilities. Meet new players, learn about tennis programs for LGBT tennis players, and get to know the United States Tennis Association-our sponsor.

Saturday Player Barbecue Lunch
The USGO's now traditional Saturday afternoon player barbecue returns. Enjoy complementary barbecue ribs, pulled pork, chicken and veggie burgers.
World Team Tennis Kick-Off Party
World Team Tennis action starts Saturday at around 6pm. Please report early and check in with your team captain (you'll be notified who this is) and go over the somewhat different rules of this uber-fun event.

USGO Sunday Night Tournament Party: 7:30-11:00pm
Plans are in the works for a fabulous player and guest tournament party in San Francisco at the
Supperclub, SF.
Dinner, drinks, performances, raffle prizes–San Francisco style. We'll welcome back past champions over the last 29 years of the USGO and stage our largest party yet. Spouses/partners welcome at no additional charge.
Monday: Day 4
Brunch at Stanford
Monday's finals begin around 9:00am. (connie finals start at 8:00am) All players and partners are invited to a Brunch at Taube Tennis Center, 9am-11noon. Get ready to enjoy the the conclusion of the World Team Tennis competition as well as the singles and doubles finals.
Volunteer party immediately afterwards, with round-robin tennis at Taube Tennis Center.
