30-Love: A Celebration of Three Decades of Gay and Lesbian Tennis

Nov. 15, 1980, the Gay & Lesbian Tennis Federation of San Francisco held its first organized tennis tournament at Golden Gate Park. Anyone remember Jake Reid beating Dean Bauer, or Lupe Vasquez winning the consolations? Whether or not you were there to witness those first exciting GLTF matches, come help us celebrate our 30th Birthday where we’ll share the love (the off-the-court good kind).

Since that first tournament at Golden Gate Park, we’ve grown to become an organization of more than 550members with the oldest gay tennis tournament in the world. Let’s recognize our founding members and celebrate with social tennis and barbecue — all absolutely free and absolutely fun.

Players of all ages and abilities are welcome to play, learn more about the leagues and programs of GLTF, and enjoy good grub. And we’ll have some cool prizes for you too.
